Job Purpose
Responsible for supporting student health and well-being by providing first aid and medical care, managing and maintaining accurate health records, and collaborating with the Nurse and staff to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Nurse in the development and implementation of student health education programs, including hygiene and wellness topics.
- Administering prescribed medications to students according to school policies and the Nurse’s instructions.
- Maintaining accurate records of medication administration and communicating with parents/guardians as necessary.
- Ensuring medication storage and administration comply with legal regulations and school policies.
- Maintaining confidential and up-to-date health records for all students.
- Documenting student health assessments, immunizations, and medical treatments accurately.
- Compiling and organizing health data to provide necessary reports for the school administration and Ministry of Health as required.
- Responding promptly to medical emergencies within school premises.
- Collaborating with the Nurse, Staff, and Parents to address students' health and wellness needs.
- Communicating with parents/guardians regarding health concerns, vaccination requirements, and health education initiatives, in coordination with the Nurse and School Director.
- Educating students on health-related practices, such as proper handwashing, dental care, and other wellness practices as needed.
- Attending and participating in school meetings as required.
- Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the School Management.
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or a related field
