Job Purpose
Safeguarding information system assets by identifying any presenting gaps and solving potential and actual security issues. In addition to assessing current and future processes and technologies, providing recommendations for improvement, and ensuring that the appropriate controls are implemented effectively to secure the entire computing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzing the security requirements for systems, networks, and applications, and ensuring the protection of information systems from unauthorized access by configuring the defined access privileges as well as implementing and maintaining security controls
- Administering the deployed security-related solutions and conducting periodic security assessments, audits, and vulnerability testing
- Ensuring the implementation of the information security policies and procedures
- Identifying abnormal activities by monitoring systems and applications, and responding immediately to security incidents
- Implementing security improvements by assessing the current situation, evaluating risks, and anticipating requirements
- Configuring, managing, and administering the currently deployed security solutions (such as Data Loss Prevention, Security Incident and Event Management, etc.) to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information
- Recommending, and implementing appropriate security enhancements, solutions, and controls to ensure that the appropriate security measures are set in place
- Ensuring that information assets are appropriately protected, classified, and monitored and that the configurations of all devices/applications are in line with the security requirements
- Monitoring and analyzing logs and events to identify potential threats and prevent damage
- Supporting in the investigation and remediation of information security incidents or other policy violations
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and regular security audits
- Evaluating security solutions by handling Proof of Concepts (POC) to demonstrate the solution functionalities and verify their integration in the environment
- Offering support in the implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the management
Ideal Requirements:
- B.E./M.E. in Computer Engineering, Information Security, or their equivalent.
- English Proficient
- Security Certifications (CISSP, CEH, or a similar certification)
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field
