Job Purpose
The Senior IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality IT support services to ensure seamless operations, maintain business continuity, and uphold organizational IT standards. This role serves as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and provides advanced support for advanced IT initiatives across the SABIS® HQ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex issues related to operating systems, hardware, software applications, and network infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance
- Acting as the primary escalation contact for unresolved or highly technical incidents raised by junior IT support staff, ensuring timely and effective problem resolution
- Overseeing and coordinating user support activities, ensuring service requests and incidents are addressed promptly
- Managing user access controls, permissions, and authentication processes while ensuring adherence to IT security policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Supervising the tracking and lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement recommendations and lifecycle tracking
- Managing and processing all IT-related purchase requests for end-users, ensuring timely acquisition of equipment and software while maintaining compliance with company standards and budgetary guidelines
- Monitoring and maintaining the functionality, availability, and performance of critical business applications, driving user adoption and providing guidance on best practices for application usage
- Conducting testing and assessment of emerging technologies, tools, and solutions, and providing recommendations to enhance IT service delivery, efficiency, and security
- Documenting and updating detailed technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides, system configurations, incident reports, and IT support processes for knowledge sharing and compliance
- Providing ongoing training, guidance, and mentorship to junior IT support team members, fostering skill development, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Performing other related tasks assigned by Management
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- English Proficient
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional certification is a plus
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a relevant field
