Job Purpose
The School Director is responsible for shaping and sustaining a positive, high-performing school culture while ensuring the full and effective implementation of the SABIS® Educational System. The role provides strategic leadership across school operations, with a focus on academic excellence, enrolment optimization, staff development, enhanced student experience, and efficient workflows in alignment with SABIS® standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upholding and promoting the principles, values, and policies of the school and SABIS® at all times.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive school climate by maintaining the school's image and reputation to the highest standards in line with SABIS® requirements.
- Driving academic excellence by fostering a culture of continuous learning and ensuring effective implementation of the SABIS® Educational System.
- Providing strategic direction and effectively leading and managing school employees, ensuring accountability and high performance in the execution of their roles.
- Overseeing academic performance by conducting regular classroom observations, meeting with Academic Quality Controllers, and analyzing performance results through SABIS® systems to identify gaps and develop corrective measures that support both students and teachers.
- Leading staff management and development initiatives, including talent acquisition, ongoing professional development, and performance evaluation to retain a highly qualified and competent workforce.
- Ensuring the effective management of the SABIS® Student Life Organization (SLO), contributing to a well-rounded and enriching student experience.
- Leading and overseeing enrolment and admission processes in coordination with relevant stakeholders and SABIS® Management, ensuring the successful achievement of annual enrolment targets while driving sustained year‑on‑year growth.
- Managing the preparation and review of high‑impact reports, including but not limited to accreditation documentation and internal management reports, supporting strategic oversight and executive decision‑making.
- Enhancing community engagement by building strong relationships with local stakeholders, organizing events and activities, promoting the school’s achievements, and fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration among students, parents, and the wider community.
- Performing other related tasks and projects as assigned by the SABIS® Management
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject matter; Master’s Degree is a plus
- English proficient; knowledge of the local language is a plus
- Teaching certificate is a plus
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting; SABIS® experience is a plus
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a school or educational setting; SABIS® experience is a plus
