Job Purpose
Providing support and assistance to teachers both inside and outside the classroom, while helping students in understanding and completing their assignments, and maintaining a safe, productive, and clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in managing daily schedules, maintaining student focus and engagement during lessons, and assisting with the correction and review of students’ work as needed.
- Maintaining accurate attendance records for children, ensuring timely collection and submission of attendance forms between the classroom and office.
- Preparing classroom displays, games, and visual materials, including written or drawn bulletin boards aligned with class work and topics, in accordance with the teacher’s directions, while ensuring the classroom remains safe, clean, and well-organized.
- Reinforcing class and school rules and promoting positive student behavior.
- Supporting students’ wellbeing by teaching proper hygiene practices and assisting with clothes change in case of an accident.
- Documenting students’ progress and communicating with the respective Academic Quality Controller (AQC) when needed.
- Filing notes into children’s reading folders and checking every morning for new updates.
- Preparing for, supervising, and cleaning up after students’ snack or lunch times, including assisting with food distribution and maintaining cleanliness of tables and utensils.
- Supervising students during outdoor play, nap, or quiet time, to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
- Accompanying students to the class and assisting with Morning Care supervision.
- Supporting student learning and engagement by actively listening, encouraging participation, and assisting with reading activities, including the use of word cards.
- Preparing material and utensils for art classes and cleaning up after every lesson.
- Assisting with school events, trips, and activities when needed.
- Performing other related tasks as they arise and as delegated by the School Management.
Ideal Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or in a related field
