During the recruitment process, the personal data that is collected on our Website covers the following types/categories of data: name, date of birth, citizenship, phone number, home address, E-mail address, passport, photo, resume, educational background, and qualifications, professional experience, references, and other information related to employment history submitted in writing or through video Q&A (when applicable).
This Privacy Policy also applies to personal data we collect from you via cookies and related technologies to maintain an anonymized user and viewer session and to provide users and viewers with personalized web pages. PERSONAL DATA ERASURE AND STORAGE DURATION
The Website and its related database, where your personal data is stored anonymized, are hosted in the LumenSM Minnetonka Premier Select Data Center in Minnesota, United States.
The data center is maintained by authorized SABIS Educational Systems, Inc. personnel.
We will endeavor to keep your personal data accurate and not keep it longer than necessary.
Personal data regarding unsuccessful applications will be kept in our database for two years from the date of the last submitted application.
Personal data regarding shortlisted applications and/or individuals who have been contacted for further job application processing will be kept in our database for seven years.
Personal data regarding successful applicants who are employed will be kept in our database for seven years.
We retain the right to keep your basic personal data in our database for up to fifteen years in the event of forgery and/or inaccurate and/or false and/or misleading information provided on the job application. In the event of employment, we also retain the right to keep your personal data in our database for up to fifteen years for our legitimate and legal interests.
PERSONAL DATA TRANSFER AND SHARING
We operate globally, so your Personal Data may be used globally in connection with the recruitment process. By using the Website and applying to the listed vacancies, you understand and agree that the personal data you provide may be shared and viewed by recruiters and line managers of schools and companies that are members of the SABIS® Network, as indicated below, to determine how well your application fits the position you have applied for or possible other vacancies within the SABIS® Network. Personal Data that is shared and/or viewed is limited to those schools and companies that are members of the SABIS® Network of schools unless otherwise required by applicable laws.
By using our Website to submit a general application, you understand and agree that you are giving us your consent to process your Personal Data for any available vacancies in the country or region you selected.
Alternatively, when you use our Website to apply for a specific vacancy listed, your consent to process your Personal Data will be limited to the vacancy you have applied for. Therefore, in case of any new vacancy within the SABIS® Network, we will obtain your consent before processing your Personal Data.
You also understand and agree that when you are shortlisted for a vacant position within the SABIS® Network of schools and companies, your Personal Data, including but not limited to your performance evaluation feedback completed by your current or previous SABIS® employer, may be sent via E-mail to your prospective new employer within the SABIS® Network of schools and companies.
DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE PREVIOUS CLAUSE
Notwithstanding the clause above entitled Personal Data Transfer and Sharing, we do not disclose any collected personal data to any third party without first obtaining your consent.
However, we may be required to disclose your personal data if we receive a valid request from the police or other law enforcement agency, regulatory, or public or government authorities in your country of origin or elsewhere.
LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
In some jurisdictions, we’re required to identify the legal basis for our processing activities:
· Your consent to the Privacy Policy when you apply for a position using the Website.
· Our legitimate interest in the following cases:
o Recruitment and selection − This processing is necessary to take steps at your request to enter a contract of employment. This processing is also necessary for our legitimate interest in building a decision base to establish an employment relationship with you.
o Appropriate vetting, including, where relevant and appropriate, credit checks, right-to-work verification, identity fraud checks, criminal record checks (if and to the extent permitted by applicable laws), relevant employment history, relevant regulatory status, and professional qualifications. This processing is necessary for compliance with legal obligations to which we are subject. o Fully assessing applications for employment to ensure that only suitable and appropriate candidates are assessed and selected;
o Considering all suitable applicants for roles that may become available and
o Improving business processes and increasing efficiencies.
You may withdraw your consent for the application at any time by clicking on the designated link found in the confirmation E-mail that you would have received after successful application submission. Alternatively, you may withdraw your consent to processing your data at any time by sending an E-mail to privacy@sabis.net.
Once your consent is withdrawn, the personal data you submitted during the submission phase will be deleted within one month. In some circumstances, we may need to retain some of your records for internal business needs and/or legal requirements. In all cases, we will take all the appropriate measures to keep your personal data secure and protected.
Please note that all processing of your personal data will cease once you have withdrawn your consent but will not affect any personal data that has already been processed prior to this point.
By withdrawing your consent, your previously submitted application cannot be reused. However, you can reapply by submitting a new application on SABIS® Careers.
